Tech Giant Warns CISPA Is “Alarming” Threat to Privacy

Tech giant Mozilla has publicly slammed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) which passed the House last week, labeling the legislation an “alarming” threat to privacy.

“While we wholeheartedly support a more secure Internet, CISPA has a broad and alarming reach that goes far beyond Internet security. The bill infringes on our privacy, includes vague definitions of cybersecurity, and grants immunities to companies and government that are too broad around information misuse. We hope the Senate takes the time to fully and openly consider these issues with stakeholder input before moving forward with this legislation,” Mozilla, which is best known for its Firefox browser, said in a statement.

The statement is important because it marks the first time any Silicon Valley entity has denounced CISPA, with an array of powerful companies lining up in support of the legislation which passed the US House of Representatives 248 to 168 and now heads to the Senate. You Are All Suspects Now. What Are You Going To Do About It?

You are all potential terrorists. It matters not that you live in Britain, the United States, Australia or the Middle East. Citizenship is effectively abolished.  Turn on your computer and the US Department of Homeland Security’s National Operations Center may monitor whether you are typing not merely “al-Qaeda”, but “exercise”, “drill”, “wave”, “initiative” and “organisation”: all proscribed words. The British government’s announcement that it intends to spy on every email and phone call is old hat. The satellite vacuum cleaner known as Echelon has been doing this for years. What has changed is that a state of permanent war has been launched by the United States and a police state is consuming western democracy.

What are you going to do about it? Read the rest of this entry »

Obama Administration Announces “War On Terror” Is Over

The same official continues, “Now that we have killed most of al Qaida, now that people have come to see legitimate means of expression, people who once might have gone into al Qaida see an opportunity for a legitimate Islamism.”

This is great news, isn’t it? If the “War on Terror” is over, then we can repeal and reverse all the ridiculous police state laws that were put in place to protect us from terrorism… right?

I mean, can we now fire the TSA? They were only put in place after the “terror” attacks on 9/11. If the war on terror is over, the TSA is no longer needed (even if you assume they were effective at all, which they weren’t). Read the rest of this entry »

Homeland Security Buys Enough Ammo For A 7-Year War Against The American People

As we recently reported, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), an agency that says its main purpose now is to thwart “homegrown terrorism,” has awarded a contract to ammunition manufacturer ATK for acquiring 450 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammo. You can view the announcement of the ammunition purchase at this press release: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/atk-secures-40-caliber-ammunition-co…

Many readers may not know this, but “hollow point” ammunition is never purchased for practice or training. This ammunition is purchased for the sole purpose of being used in active fighting. At the same time, it is a violation of the Geneva Convention to use hollow point ammunition on the battle field. Read the rest of this entry »

Dog Lovers Are Now Enemies Of The State

Clueless police seem to like intimidating the public by shooting the dogs belonging to the innocent citizens they’re supposed to be protecting. In Tennessee, it took a federal jury to force the Tennessee Highway Patrol, kicking and screaming, to admit wrongdoing (the Cookeville, Tennessee police had already settled for $75,000) when a family’s dog was shot “by mistake.”

In the latest intimidation installment, “officer” (how he demeans the term) Thomas Griffin shot Michael Paxton’s dog on Good Friday after Griffin trespassed on Mr. Paxton’s property “by mistake,” pulled a gun on Mr. Paxton, and then shot and killed Mr. Paxton’s dog, Cisco. Executive Order: Feds To Take Control of Domestic Natural Gas Production

While Americans focused their attention on the Colombian controversy involving U.S. Secret Service agents, prostitutes and excessive drinking, President Obama quietly signed his latest Presidential Executive Order.

The Supporting Safe and Responsible Development of Unconventional Domestic Natural Gas Resources Executive Order seeks to create what amounts to a Presidential super committee that will oversee the regulation and development of the ‘unconventional’ natural gas industry for the purpose of ensuring a long-term natural gas supply for the United States, as well as to do so in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Excerpts (Read the complete E.O.):

While natural gas production is carried out by private firms, and States are the primary regulators of onshore oil and gas activities, the Federal Government has an important role to play by regulating oil and gas activities on public and Indian trust lands, encouraging greater use of natural gas in transportation, supporting research and development aimed at improving the safety of natural gas development and transportation activities, and setting sensible, cost-effective public health and environmental standards to implement Federal law and augment State safeguards. Picture of Homeland Security’s New Monstrous SWAT Trucks

Can you say P-O-L-I-C-E  S-T-A-T-E?

This monstrous SWAT truck leads us to a whole new “in your face” era of Police State Developments. As you might know, we reported on other new Police State toys such as the “Nuclear Powered Spy Drones” that are able to fly for unlimited amounts of time over our home land, to “New Microchips that Know Your Location Within Centimeters,” but this vehicle clearly takes the cake. This vehicle has words such as “Special Response Team,” “Police/Rescue,” and “Immigration Enforcement” on its side. These vehicles will probably never spend any time on our boarders but if they do, it will only be for “publicity purposes” until their “real deployment orders” are enacted. These vehicle should be named “Tyranny,” a much more suitable name don’t you think? Read the rest of this entry »
